| | Cobb AccessPort for Legacy
AccessPort is a device that allows you to reprogram your car's stock ECU for the purpose of increasing performance. It connects to your car's OBD-II port, and allows you to download revised fuel/timing/boost settings to the ECU.
You can choose between off-the-shelf maps, or bring your AccessPort-equipped car to a shop like Mach V Motorsports that has the ProTuner package, and have them custom-design a map just for you. (Click the inset picture for a dyno graph of our own Mach V Legacy GT. The three curves are stock, off-the-shelf Stage 1 map, and custom-tuned Stage 1 map.)
Other things the AccessPort can do for you:
- Permanently ignore certain "check engine" codes, while still notifying you of the important ones.
- Check and clear diagnostic trouble codes.
- Raise rev and speed limiters.
- Enable valet and security maps that are impossible to defeat.
- Display boost.
- Display 0-60 and quarter mile times.
Each AccessPort is useable on one car at a time. During that time, the AccessPort is "married" to that car, and cannot be used on any other car until it is "unmarried."
The AccessPort kit comes complete with the AccessPort device, OBD-II interface cable, and full instructions. Fits all Legacy GT and Outback XT 2005 through 2012 model years, including Spec B models.
