  Pitch Mounts
The pitch mount (or "dog bone") ties the Subaru engine block to the firewall, helping to reduce back-and-forth shifting of the engine and drivetrain. The stock piece is quite thin and soft. Aftermarket ones will decrease motion of the engine and free up power to go to the wheels, where it belongs.
