Zero Sports 'Cool Action' Hood Scoop Insert

Have you ever looked at the hood scoop on your WRX? Air is expected to make a 90-degree turn to flow down through the intercooler. What REALLY happens is that the air piles up against the back of the hood scoop, meaning very little airflow through the front edge of the intercooler.

The Zero Sports "Cool Action" scoop insert is made with multiple air passages to aid in directing air through both the front AND the back of the intercooler. The central two-angle turning vane makes sure that half the air goes through the FRONT of the intercooler, and half through the back. (Click the inset diagram for a visual depiction of this.)

It's made from stainless steel, beautifully formed and welded. A tasteful "ZERO/SPORTS" plaque accents one side. Just like the factory trim, it has cooling slots for the turbo on one side.

Now available for most model years. The smaller fits the standard-size US WRX hood scoop, and the larger Japanese-market STi scoop, or our carbon fiber upgrade scoop. Updated 7/14/02
