Massive CNC-machined aluminum intakes use the stock dual-inlet routing for efficient spread of air across the core. CNC forming, vs. casting, reduces the end tank weight by a whopping four pounds, and provides clearance for underhood lines. The bar-and-plate intercooler core design is the most efficient available.
Does it work, you ask? Here's one data point: The TurboXS dyno measured a 35 hp increase over the stock top-mount intercooler on a car running race gas and full "Stage 4" mods, and a 28 hp increase with pump gas. Want more proof? How does 11.96 in the quarter mile sound? This intercooler did it.
The Gigantic Top Mount Intercooler bolts directly on your WRX. It comes complete with the cast Y-pipe and matching silicone couplers. Fit under the hood is obviously snug; you may have to bend and/or cushion some underhood lines to because of the tight clearance.
