It's our own Mach V shift knob. We found ourselves missing the shape of the classic STi titanium shift knob -- long-discontinued -- and decided to make something that reminded us of that. Our take on it is a finely-milled sphere of T6061 aluminum, with a gentle taper down to the cylindrical base. The bottom is notched out to clear your reverse lockout, and the knob is pre-threaded so it spins right on to any six-speed manual Subaru car. (It fits fine on the stock shifter, or any aftermarket short shifter.)
The weight is 140 grams (just under 5.0 ounces), which is relatively light for a solid metal knob. That also means it doesn't stay hot or cold for long. About 57mm (2.25") high x 46mm (1.75") in diameter.
We left the machine-turned aluminum finish raw for maximum luster. That does mean that the finish may dull or scratch over time. (It won't scratch from your hand, but rings or other metal items would do it.) It can be re-polished at any time using a standard metal polish.
The knob is unadorned of any design or shift pattern for a clean look. We do sell a shift pattern you can stick to the shifter console, though. (A pattern layout display is required by law in some places.)
