So i was out on the road. After a few cities i was already up to 6 new pedals. After sitting and pondering how i could utilize these pedals while i was on the road, i started researching electric mandolins. I always wanted one and they’re the perfect size for traveling! Eastwood really helped me out on this one! The mandolin sounds gorgeous! It sounds absolutely killer with my now over 20 new pedals lol! The finish is gorgeous! (but chipping away a little already). The shielding is something I’m going to have to look into. Picking up radio stations real bad in Detroit right now. But all in all, this instrument is perfect! Sounds great, looks great, and heals all those “i gotta play” wounds. Picked up a strap from third man records over the weekend and now I’m set! Thank you so much Eastwood! You kept me sane on the road!! Xoxo, Murray
Great electric mandolin. It's my first. I love the feel and the look of the instrument . The pickup is light, but not so much to be a con. The action, nut, and bridge needed some adjusting out of the box, but after a month of playing it the instrument has "settled" and is smooth as can be. One thing of note, because of the scale used and the fact that these are guitar strings on a guitar-style bridge the strings are quite tight, so it may be necessary to tune down a little bit. Overall, this electric mandolin was the best option for the price. I really love the walnut finish and its a rare color choice for guitars, so I was glad that was an option.
