These genuine OEM Subaru gaskets and hardware for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX may be required when you remove the factory J-pipe (downpipe) from the turbo. We've seen many examples of people breaking the turbo-to-J-pipe mounting studs or stripping the nuts when attempting to remove the J-pipe. We suggest installing fresh nuts and studs, as well as the gasket, any time the J-pipe is separated from the turbo, even if they have been done recently.
Although these OEM hardware parts are not cheap, we haven't found an aftermarket alternative that is stronger than this original-equipment Subaru hardware.
