Subaru uses cheapo clamps on the direct-injected turbo FA20 engine, and those clamps can cut into the soft rubber intake hoses, eventually resulting in air leaks that can affect the air/fuel mixture. Leaks like this can cause decrease fuel mileage, loss of power, and reduced driveability.
We've got a solution. This set of five cut-proof (okay, cut-resistant) clamps keep those saw-like slots from touching your sensitive hoses. You get clamps for both ends of the intercooler-to-throttle-body hose, one for the compressor bypass valve, one for the turbo-outlet-pipe-to-intercooler connection, and one for the turbo inlet pipe. We use Breeze brand clamps where we can, but sometimes we have to use a different brand depending on availability. In any case, they will look and function identically.
