Fabricated right here in the US from CNC'd and TIG welded 4130 chromoly steel, Kartboy's short throw shifter shortens shift travel by 40%. This combo (or maybe we should say "kombo") kit also includes the excellent Kartboy polyurethane front and rear shifter bushings.

The short shifter was easy to install, took about 30 mins, I spent most of the time getting the Reverse lockout cable pin out and aligning it back into the shifter. I do have a punch tool which makes this easier, you just have to keep hammering away, it will come out! Here is a tip: Start with the shifter in reverse!! After searching a lot of comments and reviewing videos, this has proven to save a lot of time, plus you do not have to climb under the car to 'lock' the cable into place with an Allen wrench. Simply put the car in reverse, knock the pin out using a punch/hammer, then unbolt/unclamp the rest of the items. This basically gives you all the slack you need to install the reverse lockout cable back into place. If you happen to knock the shifter out of gear, simply pull up on the cable and place it back into reverse. This was a game changer and allowed me to install the shifted in 30 mins! I still need to do the mount and shifter bushings, not looking forward to that at all, might pass until I get the car on a lift.
