Kics Racing Dual Phase System DP50 Lug Nut Set

Kics Racing Gear lug nuts are made in Japan and are some of the most beautiful, tough, and feature-packed fasteners we sell. The Dual Phase System DP50 lug nut is an elegant and attractive solution with some key features that solve many common lug nut problems.

For strength, you want your lug nuts to be made of steel. Steel is great for many reasons, but it is not that attractive, and finish options are limited. For a beautiful finish, aluminum is great, but it's not strong enough to make a solid lug nut. Kics Racing's Dual Phase System gives you the best of both worlds, with a forged SCM435 ChroMoly steel core surrounded by a light and strong Duralumin aluminum alloy outer shell. That outer shell comes in three attractive finishes -- red, blue, or black anodized finish, all with nice laser engraved decorations on the outside.

Besides looking good, the Duralumin outer shell provides a sort of washer against the wheel. The slight amount of give in the aluminum relative to the steel helps the fastener stay tight against the wheel.

Dual Phase System fasteners utilize an internal-drive tool system for tightening and loosening. This has several benefits. For one, there's no worry about your lug nut tool scratching your nice wheels OR the outside of your fasteners. Secondly, the saw-tooth pattern of the inside of the lug nut makes for excellent torque transfer and solid engagement with the tool. (Kics calls this shape "Bullock Tusky pattern." We are not making this up.) Finally, the fastener is extremely theft resistant, as it cannot be removed by standard sockets or hex keys. Because every fastener is both lock and lug nut, you only have to keep track of one installation tool.

Dual Phase System lug nut cores are forged from super-hard SCM435 ChroMoly steel, with an outer shell ofOverall length of the fasteners is 50mm, and the overall diameter is a very slim 21mm -- great for exotic wheels with deep lug nut wells! Internal threaded length is 27mm. Note that these fasteners are NOT open-ended, so make sure you measure if you are using these with extended studs. (See the attached diagrams for  measurements.)

Note that anodized finishes -- especially red -- are subject to fading in UV light. We can't warranty the surface treatment against scratches or fading. Treat your lug nuts with care and keep them out of the sun if you want the colored finish to stay bright and nice.

As with any custom wheel fastener, we recommend using HAND TOOLS ONLY to install and remove these. No impact tools! Torque to the normal tightness as specified by your car's owner's manual.

You may NOT purchase them, try them on your car, and then return them. We find that customers get pretty annoyed if we try to sell them previously-used lug nuts. We think the photos here are of high enough quality that you can get a pretty good idea of what these are going to look like.
