It annoys us that there's no handle inside the trunk on the 2015-2021 WRX and STI. We don't like having to put our hands on the salty/sooty back of the trunk, risking scratching our painstakingly-waxed paint. Other cars have handles inside the trunk lid. Why shouldn't we?
We designed an elegant solution. Our trunk handle strap is made right here at Mach V headquarters, from real leather. It is light and strong, and installs easily using the included push fasteners. The strap is even embossed with the Mach V logo so you know it's genuine. Classy!
For the VA chassis (2015-2021), you can install your trunk strap on the left side or right side of the trunk. If it's on the left you can use two existing holes. If it's on the right you will have to drill a 10mm hole in the trunk liner only -- there's an existing hole in the metal of the trunk underneath. (See photos for what it looks like installed.)
For VB chassis, install the Mach V Trunk Handle Strap between two existing holes, right or left side.
Fits all 2015+ Subaru WRX and STI, including 2022+ WRX.
