Subaru EJ-motor cam pulley bolts can be very frustrating to remove. The allen key design is prone to rounding out, leaving you with no choice but to saw off and/or drill out the bolt. Sometimes we get so mad at them, we want to shout, "FU!"
Turn In Concepts comes to our aid with their custom cam pulley bolts, which feature a large-diameter 17mm hex bolt design, high strength steel material of proper hardness, and the satisfaction of being able to slap a six-point socket on there and bear down with as much force as the Subaru gods intended.
Set of four bolts. Choose your kit: Dual AVCS (2008-2021 WRX STI), Single AVCS (2007-2014 WRX, other 2.5 turbo EJ motors), or NON-AVCS (2002-2005 WRX, and other 2.5L non-turbo EJ).
Fits all 2002-2014 Subaru WRX, 2004-2021 WRX STI, and other EJ motor Subarus, EXCEPT AVLS motors. These bolts do NOT fit AVLS heads.
Availability update 6/2/25: AVCS bolts are currently out of stock, which means we cannot currently ship the Dual AVCS or Single AVCS kits. You can pre-order now to reserve product, but we don't have an ETA on these yet.
Excellent upgrade to replace the one-use OEM camshaft sprocket bolt. TIC FU Cam Pulley bolts are a must have. Removing the original bolt was totally impossible and ultimately necessitated drilling it out. This will make it easier to remove the next time any maintenance is performed requiring removal of the cam sprocket. The only complaint is its price, the profit margin seems high for a simple bolt redesign. Keeping in mind, however, that it does pay for itself the first time the cam sprocket needs to be removed.
