The design of the EJ engine has the oil filter placed where the manifold wraps around it. This causes the oil temps to increase due to radiating heat off of the header, especially in the case where the stock manifold has been replaced by an aftermarket header.
The Torque Solutions oil filter blanket will help to block that radiant manifold heat, keeping oil temps down especially during long pulls or spirited driving. The oil filter blanket is equipped with magnets to help keep the blanket in place. Another benefit from the magnetic design is to be able to trap fine metallic debris in the oil filter.
Installation is extremely easy; just slide the blanket on the oil filter. When it's time to remove it, just slide it off using the convenient pull tab.
